SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College students Emily Calcara of Athens, Abigail Oller of Springfield and Kavita Sundaram of Springfield have their artwork featured in “Varsity Art 29,” a multi-media exhibition of original artwork by regional artists from Missouri and Illinois. The show is being presented in the Art Saint Louis Gallery in downtown St. Louis from March 1-27.
“We are incredibly proud of our students for having their artwork selected for the ‘Varsity Art 29’ exhibit at the Art Saint Louis Gallery,” says Adam Watkins, dean of ͷapp Arts and Communication. “Each piece is a testament to their creativity, skill and unique artistic voice. This achievement not only highlights their talent but also showcases the diverse and vibrant perspectives nurtured within our program, led by a group of outstanding and dynamic faculty.”
“Varsity Art 29” includes artwork by 62 undergraduate- and graduate-level art students representing 23 regional universities and colleges from Missouri and Illinois. It is a collaboration between Art Saint Louis and the participating collegiate institutions, their art faculty and students.
Art Saint Louis is free and open to the public. Hours are Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
