To remain eligible for financial aid, students must comply with the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. When a student does not comply with this policy for two semesters, they are placed on Financial Aid Suspension. To be reinstated, students must either bring their cumulative GPA and completion rate up to the minimums set in the policy or appeal if there were unusual/extenuating circumstances that affected a student's performance.

There is a maximum amount of time for which a student may receive financial aid. Federal regulations allow a student to receive aid up to 150% of the length of their academic program. For example, if your academic program is 62 credit hours in length, you may receive aid for 150% of 62 credit hours, or 93 hours. When students reach or exceed this limit, they are not eligible for financial aid.

Students who have received an associate, bachelor's or master's degree will automatically be placed on the 150% limit and must appeal to receive additional financial aid.
