SPRINGFIELD — The Lincoln Land Community College Choir performed at the Illinois American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Fall Conference Oct. 16 at DePaul University in Chicago. The program focused on hope, resilience and rising to action in the face of personal and global crises.
The ͷapp Choir was one of three college and university choirs selected to perform via an audition process. “Our choir received praise for a balanced sound and fantastic singing; enthusiasm and level of preparedness; a wonderful, emotional and meaningful program; and moments of brilliance,” said Laurie Lewis-Fritz, ͷapp Choir director and assistant professor of music.

Outside of the performance, students had the opportunity to hear the other performing choirs, attend various sessions on choral singing, hear from speakers and sing along at repertoire reading sessions.
ͷapp offers several music degrees including an designed to transfer to a four-year institution.
